My experience and accomplishments on the Town Council and Boards:
- Ten years of experience on the Mahwah Town Council.
- Member of the Environmental Commission which has many recent accomplishments including: tree seedling giveaways, recycling collections, water forums, town cleanups, rain gardens and floating islands.
- Member of the Mahwah Museum Board of Trustees.
- Liaison to the Historic Preservation Commission, Board of Education and Bergen County Community Development Committee.
- Prior Liaison to the Mahwah Cable TV Committee, Library Board of Trustees, Pool Commission and Access for All.
- Actively Support our First Responders, Seniors, Veterans and Volunteers.
- Supported the installation of a cell tower to service the Masonicus area which urgently needed reliable cell service.
- Helped pass the Wellhead Protection Ordinance to prevent developers from disturbing areas around our drinking water supply.
- Worked to tape, televise and archive Council, Planning Board, and Board of Adjustment meetings for greater transparency.
- Supported the extension of affordable housing controls on rental units that were due to expire to help meet our affordable housing quota. This was done at no cost to Mahwah taxpayers and included 175 units in Norfolk Village and Ramapo Brae.
- Worked with nonprofit organizations to secure 100% affordable housing for seniors, veterans and the disabled in multiple locations throughout town.
- Opposed affordable housing agreements for Ridge Road, Crossroads and Fyke Road.
- Opposed the high-rise fulfillment center agreement for Crossroads.
